Evolve Beverages is a beer events and training provider focused on the Asian Craft Beer market. We organize the annual Asia Beer Championship and run a programme of Technical Seminars across the region.
Our CEO
Charles is a seasoned industry professional with over twenty years bar and restaurant experience, having pulled his first pint back in 1988 in the UK. His food and beverage career has covered restaurant and bar management, refrigeration supply and beer distribution.
Beginning his career in in Hong Kong, Charles moved to Singapore in 1998 where, in 2004 he opened Oosters Belgian Brasserie, an early mover in the craft beer movement in the citystate. After 20 years’ service to the industry he started "SEA Brew" (the Southeast Asia Brewers Conference & Trade Fair), the largest annual gathering of the region’s brewers, distributors and suppliers. Founded in Singapore in 2015 the annual show travels the region visiting a new host city each year and in 2019 attracted over 550 participants from throughout Asia and the rest of the world.
Charles is a certified Beer Sommelier through the Institute of Brewers & Distillers and has judged at the International Beer Cup (Japan), the Asia Beer Awards (Singapore), and the SIBA Beer Awards (UK). He has also been a guest speaker at brewers conferences in Japan, China and Thailand. In 2019 he launched the Brew Asia technical sessions to help bring more brewing education to the region.
His work sees him travel extensively throughout the region where he works closely with the region’s brewers and suppliers.
